I've been looking around to see what other opinions are out there about combining or integrating agile with user experience and I was surprised to see how weak some approaches are. It is as if UE needs to tiptoe around developers in case they get annoyed,
They focus on
- doing just enough modeling
- supporting developers 'do the simplest thing that could possibly work.'
In one article the speaker argues that unlike building a house, building software does not obey the laws of nature and that you can build the attic before you start on the basement. Absolutely true, however, you run the risk of building a monstrosity unless you have a blueprint and in the world of software development that blueprint lies within user experience.
