#1 Recruiters need to know the research question and what you try to achieve. They can then take the initiative to make adjustments to the screener as they are familiar with the culture and understand the general area you will be researching
#2 Confirm details with participants before visit. Call them on the day of the session to confirm it is all happening
#3 Ensure local partner has all details, including directions, maps, etc.
#4 Opt for public transport than taxis or hired cars. It will give you the opportunity to observe local attitudes
#5 Release forms is local responsibility
#5 Incentives to be paid at the end of the session not later
#6 Brief participants before sessions. Let them know what the visits are all about without revealing end goal of the project. Informed participants will be more than happy to help. Visits with badly briefed participants are less productive and more stressful for all parties
